Mike and Angelle first became 'The Batten Team' in 1996 when they said "I do."

Their team became a team of five pretty quickly with the birth of a daughter and twin sons two years later. As parents to three young adults they can say they've definitely learned how to work well together over the years!

Mike and Angelle met as educators and while Angelle left her classroom and consulting career behind, Mike went onto become an elementary principal. While he's loved his work, after owning rental property for a number of years, he realized he wanted to create his own business. Becoming a Realtor made sense because he loved learning about houses and he loves negotiating deals! A few years later Angelle joined him, bringing her customer service and marketing experience she had from owning her own coaching company.
